Mrs. Tenekia Rashawn Worthy, affectionally known as “Boobie” native of Chester, South Carolina, was born on August 1, 1982. She was the daughter of Vestenia Worthy and the late Ben Carter.
Boobie grew up in Chester and was part of the Chester High School Class of 2000. She was a member of Zion Pilgrim and also attended Fairview Baptist Church. She loved to sing and spend time with her family. She never met a stranger and always felt compelled to tell everyone she loved them. She was truly dedicated to her family.
Boobie was married to Carlos Dunovant, her life partner of 25 years. To this union, they were blessed with four children. She was fully committed to her family until her untimely passing.
Boobie was preceded in death by her father Ben Carter, her grandmother, Carrie Worthy, sister Rashellia Brown, uncle Dennis Worthy, and brother-in-law Nathaniel Culp.
Mrs. Worthy leaves to cherish fond memories of her devoted husband, Carlos; four loving children; Carlay’sha, Carlos (Ernie), Ja’Kheia, and Ja’Barri (Bugg); her loving mother Vestenia; her mother and father in law John & Dorothy Culp; brothers Raquizbaziz (Janet) Worthy and Felipe Minter; Gisela (Javon) Gaither; also considered as her parents Katie and Ralph Lee Crank, brothers in law William Culp, John Culp, Johnnie Young, James Young, and Edward (Mont) Culp; sister in law Shonnta (Kito) Lewis; close friends Stephanie Gregory, Jessica (Tasha) Johnson, and Jeremy Robinson; godchildren Quatavia Carter, Demetric Hardin, Stanley Mills, Ja’Casia Williams, Nakarri Gregory, and Malachi Bell; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, classmates, and friends.
