We are saddened by the loss of Mr. Michael Kelvin Gloster the husband to Ms. Peggy Johnson Gloster, we are praying for perfect peace and comfort for the Gloster Family durning this time of sorrow. Remember to keep God first, He is the author and finisher of our faith. Mr. Gloster passed on October 21, 2022 at his home 333 Hampton Street in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Mr. Michael Kelvin Gloster was born May 30, 1961 in Miami, FL to the late Matha Lee and Bernice Murray Gloster. “Mike G”, as he was affectionately known, departed this life at his home in Rock Hill, SC on Friday, October 21, 2022.
Mike received his primary education in Miami, FL and later graduated from Lowndes High School in Valdosta, GA. Following his passion for cooking, he also attended culinary school at Johnson and Wales in Charlotte, NC. Over his lifetime, Mike worked in various positions and was most recently employed at Freedom Temple Ministries as part of the security team with primary responsibility for the Freedom Montessori School.
In 2008, Mike met the love of his life, Peggy Johnson, whom he married in 2009. They were inseparable and enjoyed spending time traveling and simply being together. Those who knew Mike loved his vibrant spirit and his passionate devotion to the Dallas Cowboys.
Mike had an immense love for family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Peggy, his beloved son and daughter, Zachary Michael Cauthren and Lacesha Gloster Goldwire (Alfonso); his precious granddaughter, Elaena Monroe Cauthren; one sister, Charlotte Gloster Moore (Verman); one brother, Selvin Gloster (Tenna); three sisters-in-law, Marcell Johnson, Marcia Parker, and Paula Duckett; one brother-in-law, Mark Johnson (Joyce); three aunts, Helen Geiger (Harry), Emma Jean Hodo (Randolph), and Cora Fobbs; three uncles, Emmerson Murray (Ora), Johnney Murray (Shirley), and Rev. Wallace Murray (Dobie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
