Marjorie Sanders Obituary

Mrs. Marjorie Liggins Sanders of 6001 North 10th Street in Philadelphia, PA. passed at her home. She was formerly of Chester, South Carolina. 

Marjorie began her adult life at an early age when she met the love of her life at the age of 14. She told her parents if she didn’t marry James Sanders she wasn’t going back to school. Throughout the years she had 10 beautiful children, she became a devoted wife and mother. Marjorie was a home maker who like to decorate and make beautiful crafts with her hands.

Marjorie was a member of Zion Pilgrim Missionary Baptist church. She attended Finley High. She then moved to Philadelphia PA to begin her journey of life with James.

 Marjorie was born on August 3, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Audrey Liggins Sr. and The late Florence Wade Liggins. She was preceded in death by her late husband James Edward Sanders, her three loving children the late Florence Sanders, Gloria Mason (Gary), Tyron Sanders (Jerry). Her loving sisters the late Ruth Green (Rev. D Green), Alvin Jeter (Larry), Priscilla McAdoo (Larry) and Barbara Jean White (Otis).

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory her children James Sanders Jr (Cynthia), Donald Sanders (Cynthia), Mary Schofield (Donald), Wymon Sanders the late (Brenda S.), Joann Davis (Mike), Lushell Hamilton the late (Charles H.). All from Philadelphia PA. Margie Washington (Larry) Rock Hill SC, friend and companion William Braxton, brothers Mr. Robert Wade (Patsy) Greensboro NC, Mr. Audrey Liggins Jr, the late (Sarah L), Mr. Obbie Liggins (Ruth), Mr. Charles Liggins (Marsalene) all from Chester SC,  sister Mrs. Bertha Powell Buffalo NY, and a host of grandchildren, great grands,  nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends.
