Gail Michelle (Frederick) Mayfield

On Monday August 10, 2020 Gail Michelle Frederick Mayfield transitioned from earth to eternal peace and heavenly rest. Gail was born on May 6, 1967, in Chester County South Carolina. She was born to her loving parents Phillis Ann Frederick Corprew and Aaron Young, Jr.

At an early age Gail accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Gail was educated in the Chester County Public Schools and worked for Kraft’s Food. Gail never met a stranger and she was fun to be around. Family was important to Gail as she was a proud mother and older sister.

Gail was reunited with her parents, grandparents and other family members on Monday night August 10, 2020 around 8:27pm as she reached Heavens gates we can only imagine how happy they were to welcome her home. Gail was preceded in death by her mother and father Phillis Ann Frederick Corprew and Aaron Young, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son: Davis Young III, of Rock Hill, SC, and daughter, Dadrian Young, of Kershaw, SC; a grandson who was reared in the home Jordan Young; four other special grandchildren Antonio Killian, Jayden Young, Jaylen Young and Jerimani Young; step-father Milford Corprew, of Rock Hill, SC; sisters; Robin Corprew, Katisha Corprew and Alicia “Lisa” Johnson,  all of Rock Hill, SC and Raduyyah “Mikail” Muhammad, of Delware; brother Brian B. Young, of Rock Hill, SC;  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Gail had a special friend and companion George Leach of the home.
