Catrina Simpson Obituary

Catrina Yalonda “Trina” Price Simpson entered into Heaven on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Trina was born in Chester County, South Carolina, on October 20, 1970. She was the daughter of Sarah Price Lopez and the late Tommy Lee Gist.

Confessing Christ at an early age, Trina became a member of St. Paul Halseville Baptist Church in Chester, South Carolina. She was a dedicated and active member and was always willing to serve wherever needed. Trina served faithfully on the Trustee Board and Finance Committee. She was educated in the Chester County South Carolina Public Schools and graduated from Chester Senior High School in 1988. She furthered her education at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Trina was employed with First Citizen Bank as a Consumer Service Representative. She was the owner and operator of CPS Tax Services. Trina was a loving and caring person and always was a joy to be around. She was also willing to help anyone. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, cousin, and devoted friend. She was a big Dallas Cowboy fan and loved anything dealing with taxes. The class of 1988 was very important to Trina, she enjoyed every moment of spending time with her classmates.

Trina was preceded in death by her only child, Kionna Uniqual “Ki” Feaster, who passed just a few weeks ago on December 31, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her father, Tommy Lee Gist; grandmothers, Azalee P. Glasgow and Mae Ella Gist; and grandfather, James “Jimmy” Glasgow.

Trina leaves to cherish loving memories: her husband, O’Neal L. Simpson, Jr., of the home; mother, Sarah Price Lopez of Chester, SC; children, Sharnelle (Jamaal) Currence of Charlotte, NC, O’Neal Simpson III of Rock Hill, SC, Archina Twitty of Augusta, Georgia, and LaChristy Twitty of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Zavin, Jada and Alisa Feaster, all of the home, Taliyah Siimpson, Kinley McClary, and Kensington Currence; six aunts, Georgia Gist Rambert, Special Aunt Joyce (Billy) Howze, Maggie (Andrew) Tobias, Barbara Ann Price, Cleoa Dye, and Johnnie Mae Price, all of Chester, SC; three uncles, Joe Eddie Price, Willie (Gert) Price, and Johnny M. Price; devoted brother, Victor Howze; devoted cousin, Kimberly R. King; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Gloria, J. Grafton, Edry (Rick) Miller, Dlmar Simpson, Cora Foster, David (Bessie) Fourney, Marie (Danny) Artis, and Katie (Lynn) Harris; Godsister, Iris Sinclair, devoted friends Sabrina Boyd, Permissa Belton, Netocha Hall, Angela Massey, Tomika Douglas, Carmanetta Crockett and Mickey McDaniel; the class of 1988 and a host of cousin other relatives and friends
