Sarah Lee Pegues-Crawford, the daughter of the Late Mable Jones Pegues, was born November 24, 1961.  She was the fourteenth out of fourteen children.

Sarah confessed Christ at a young age.  She graduated from Scotland High School in Scotland County, NC. Sarah stood by what she believed was right in her heart.

Sarah slipped into eternal rest on May 11, 2023.  She was preceded in death by ten of her siblings: Marvin, James, Doris Jones, Ella Mae Jones Glover, Geraldine Pegues Tennell,  Mandy Smith, James Junior Pegues, Hattie Rios, Carolyn Pegues, and one child during childbirth.

Sarah leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Sastartia Corrina Pegues of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one son, Courtney Gerrell Pegues of Atlanta, Georgia; three siblings: Catherine Pegues Campbell, Willie Edward Pegues, and Nancy Pegues-Pemberton (Johnnie); eleven nieces, five nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
