It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rita P. McCollum, age 76, who transitioned on May 31, 2026, at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina.

Mrs. McCollum was born on July 29, 1949, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Victoria Gordon Williamson and the late Flenory Williamson Sr.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and beloved family matriarch. Mrs. McCollum retired after a dedicated career as a customer service supervisor in the airline industry. After retirement, she and her husband made their home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she enjoyed being surrounded by family.

She is survived by her husband, James Frazier McCollum Sr.; daughter, Cerita Nicole Bunyasaranand; and sons, James Frazier McCollum Jr. and Mark Anthony McCollum.
