On behalf of the Hassell and Caldwell family we annonce the passing of Ms. Mary France Caldwell Hassell. She passed on November 15, 2022 at Magnolia Manor in Rock HIll, South Carolina. Services are incomplete and will be announced later by the Funeral Home and Family.

Mary France Caldwell was born in Chester County, SC on August 8, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Caldwell and Nettie Simpson Caldwell Livingston.

Mary France was educated in the Chester County South Carolina Public Schools. She graduated from Finley Senior High School. After graduation she moved to New York where she met and married the love of her life Mr. Johnny Hassell.

She was an amazing woman of God. She loved and lived her life respectfully.  She was a quiet, humble and hard working. Family was important to her.

She was precede in death by her parents Charlie and Nettie Caldwell, two brothers, Charlie Caldwell, Jr., and Melvin Caldwell; her sister Eveyln Caldwell; nephew Kelvin Caldwell.

She leaves to cherish her memories her brother George Caldwell, of Chester, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Rosa McClurkin Caldwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
