"Lil Foote" (Mcdaniel) Wilmore
February 2, 1944 – April 24, 2021
Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth McDaniel Wilmore, was the daughter of the late Ned McDaniel, Sr., and the late Rebecca Brown McDaniel, She was born February 2, 1944 in Chester, South Carolina. Lillian was affectionately known as "Lil Foote" to family and friends.
She confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she was active member of the Hymn Choir. She was educated in the Chester County Public School and attend S.L. Finley High School. She married the love of her life Henry Wilmore. To this union they were blessed with seven children.
"Lil Foote" lived a full life of love she enjoying fishing, cooking, collecting cookbooks and yard sales. Family was important to her and she always expressed love.
On Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Durham, North Carolina at Hock Family Pavilion, "Lil Foote" received her wings as the Angels from Heaven where dispatched to return her to her Heavenly rest and home. She was welcomed by family members who preceded her in death which includes her husband Henry Wilmore; parents, Rebecca Brown McDaniel and Ned McDaniel, Sr., brothers James Darby, Sr., Burley McDaniel, Sr., and Richard L. McDaniel; and her sister, Sallie McDaniel Lowry; brother-in-law, Johnny Lowry; and nephew reared in the home Lonnie Darby.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Frederick (Deborah) Wilmore, Oxford, NC, Starling Wilmore, Rock Hill, SC, Henry Wilmore, IV, Oxford, NC, Vikki Wilmore, Chester, SC Richard Wilmore, Oxford NC Crystal "Cookie" Wilmore, Chester, SC and Woodrow Wilmore, Newton, NC; two sister, Cornell Holley, Charlotte, NC and Janie Mae (Issac) Buchanan; one brother Ned McDaniel, Jr.; sisters-in-law; Gloria Jean Darby and Alberta McDaniel; 22 grandchildren and 52great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
