Mrs. LaVerna Carter Macon-Saddler 1342 Bryson Creek Road in McConnells, South Carolina died on August 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday August 14, 2014 at Christian Home Baptist Church with the Reverend James F. Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Chester County, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Tommy Carter, and the later Odessa Murray Carter. She graduated from Chester Senior High School, and was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church in Chester, South Carolina. She is survived by her husband, Henry Saddler of the home, son, Alan (Shamekia) Carter, Sr., of York, South Carolina; daughter Portia Macon, of the home; sisters, Daisy (Heyward) Wylie, Janie Carter,Debra Carter, all of Chester, South Carolina, Brenda (Ron) Carter, McConnells, South Carolina, Angela Johnson, Greensboro, North Carolina; brother Elijah Carter, Chester, South Carolina; seven grandchildren. Viewing of the body will be at the home 1342 Bryson Creek Road in McConnells, South Carolina on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 5-7 PM. Family will receive friends at the home 1342 Bryson Creek Road in McConnells, South Carolina.
