Streeter
February 10, 1936 – December 16, 2024
Mr. John Robert Streeter, the beloved son of the late Ernest Streeter and the late Nessie Streeter, was born on February 10, 1936, in Montgomery County, North Carolina. He peacefully departed this life on December 16, 2024, at the Autumn Care of Biscoe, surrounded by love and family.
John was raised in a devout Christian home and joined the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. His dedication to his faith was evident through his many contributions to the church. He played a pivotal role in renovating the church, served as the Senior President of the Trustee Board for many years, and directed the choir with passion and commitment. Additionally, John was an active member of the Brutonville Concerned Citizens for a decade, demonstrating his commitment to his community.
John pursued his education in electrical work, completing classes at Montgomery Community College. He had a rewarding career and eventually retired from Clayton Knitting Company, where he worked as a fixer.
He is survived by his loving children: Chequilla Ledbetter of Rockingham, NC, Kimberly Streeter Daniel (Dennis) of Sanford, NC, Pauline Tumbelina King (Dr. Nelson) of Rock Hill, SC, John Kevin Pratt (Amber) of Eagle Mountain, UT, Alexis Gabrielle Streeter (Shawn) of Biscoe, NC.
John is also survived by his devoted siblings: Theodore E. Streeter (Hazeline) of Candor, NC, Ellen Arwilla Kennedy of Bridgeton, NJ, TruMiller Winrow of Bridgeton, NJ, Larry Streeter (Alberta) Candor, NC; 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
