John Alexander “Johnny” Isom, of 181 Crestwood Drive, Chester, South Carolina, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by the love and presence of his family.

Born in Chester, South Carolina, Johnny was the beloved son of the late Margie Orr Isom and the late James Walker Isom. He was a devoted husband to Carolyn Diane Clifton Isom, with whom he shared a life grounded in love, faith, and family.

Johnny was a faithful member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and a proud graduate of Chester Senior High School. He was employed as a Machine Operator with Scotts Miracle-Gro, where he worked faithfully and diligently for many years.

 Johnny leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will continue to live on through his family and friends. He found great joy in spending time with his loved ones and was deeply respected by all who knew him.

In addition to his loving wife, Carolyn Diane Clifton Isom, he leaves to cherish his precious memories: his children, Terrick Clifton, Patrice Clifton, and Tracey Brown; his siblings, Alfreda Sims, Bobby Sims, Zeretta McClinton, and Sallie Isom; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Though he has departed this earthly life, the love, wisdom, and kindness Johnny shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
