With great respect and heartfelt remembrance, we share the passing of John Willie Cheatom, who departed this life on July 14, 2026, at Agape Hospice of Lexington. Born on January 12, 1958, John touched the hearts of many throughout his journey, leaving cherished memories with his loved ones and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

John Willie Cheatom was educated in the Chester County South Carolina Public School System. 

 He is survived by his loving daughters, Shelia Nicole Davis, Janay Jenkins, and Jaleesa Cheatom; his son, Jeremy Cheatom; and his sons-in-law, Keith Hardy and Virgil Jenkins. 

As we celebrate John’s life, we also remember those who have preceded him in death: his beloved mother, Maggie Cheatom Ellam; his father, John White, SR.; his son, Marcus Cheatom; and his daughter, Shaundra Yvette Hardy. Though absent in body, they remain ever-present in heart and spirit.

John Willie Cheatom’s memory lives on in the lives he touched, the family he nurtured, and the community he enriched through his presence and example. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind.
