IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jade Sharon
(Simpson) Buchanan
August 9, 1962 – May 24, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Jade Sharon Buchanan, who departed this life on May 24, 2025, in Eastover, South Carolina, at the age of 62.
Born on August 9, 1962, in New York, New York, Jade was the daughter of the late Kathaniel Atkinson Simpson and Williams Simpson. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Clarence Buchanan, and her cherished siblings Eric Simpson and Mark Simpson.
Jade grew up in New York and graduated from Cardozo High School, where her vibrant personality and sharp wit began to shine. She later built a beautiful life in South Carolina, dedicating many years of service as a manager at Center Express in Chester, eventually rising to operate her own store in Eastover. Her work ethic, leadership, and kind heart left a lasting mark on everyone she encountered.
Jade was the proud and loving mother of Unique Jade Davis (Marq) and Terrance Buchanan. She adored her grandchildren; Jayden Buchanan, Maliq Davis, Tinslee Buchanan, and Taiden Buchanan, who were the light of her life and the joy of her later years.
She is also survived by her dear sister Crystal Deveaux; her nieces Leia Simpson, Crystal Jordan, Dannyell Battle, Denee Holmes and Tralani Simpson, nephews Lavauskie Tripp and Eric Simpson Jr.; and a host of extended family, friends, and those lucky enough to have been loved by her.
Jade was the heartbeat of every room. Known for her infectious laughter, bubbly spirit, and unmatched sense of humor, she was the family jokester and prankster. Whether she was telling stories, handing out candy from her seemingly endless stash, or pulling off a playful prank, she brought light and laughter to every moment. A tomboy at heart, you could always catch her in a pair of Nikes or Reeboks, yet she was also the ultimate glamour girl. When it was time to dress up, she did so with confidence and unmatched flair, always the flyest in the room.
To know Jade was to love her instantly. Everyone she met became family. Her love was unconditional, her loyalty unwavering, and her spirit unforgettable.
As we say goodbye, we remember the joy she brought into our lives and the love she shared so freely. Though she may no longer walk beside us, Jade's laughter, love, and legacy will live on in all who knew her.
Rest peacefully, Jade. Your light will never fade.
