Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Dixon Mitchell transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Born on September 22, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Willie Dixon Sr. and Azalee Massey Dixon.

Confessing her love for Christ at an early age, she became a member of Blackrock Baptist Church. She was educated in the Chester County School Public School system. She made a career as a Nurse at the Chester County Hospital.

Dot was a caring and compassionate soul. She loved her children and grandchildren as well as anyone else she would come to know. Dot will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her.

She was the youngest and last surviving of her nine siblings. She was preceded in death by her six brothers, Willie Dixon Jr., Benjamin Dixon, Robert Dixon, Ulysses Dixon, David Dixon, Edward Dixon, and 2 sisters Ella Beckman and Gladys Howze.

Dot leaves behind a legacy of love of her family: Tammy Dixon, Jeffery Dixon, Alice Belk, Shanda Belk, Curtis (Mary) Belk, Tameka Belk; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; close nephews Dennis (Roann) Howze and Michael Howze; close niece Michelle Buchanan; a host of other nephews and nieces, cousins, loving family and friends.

Family will receive friends at the home of her son Mr. Curtis Belk 416 Rolling Stream Drive Rock Hill.  Please keep the Dixon, Belk and Mitchell family in your thoughts and prayers.
