Mrs. Dorris Virginia Bland departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on Monday, May 25, 2026, in Chester, South Carolina.
Born on October 5, 1937, in Chester, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late John Feaster and Pearla Mae Johnston Feaster.
Mrs. Bland was a hardworking and devoted woman who dedicated many years of service to Eureka Mill of Chester, South Carolina, and Chester Wood. She was known for her warm spirit, caring heart, and love for making her home beautiful. Decorating her home brought her great joy, and she took pride in creating a welcoming space for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lavita Bland of Detroit, Michigan; her son, Terrance Bland of Washington, D.C.; her sisters, Lillie Mae Buckson of Southfield, Michigan, and Peggy Holly of Washington, D.C.; and her brother, Primus Feaster of Detroit, Michigan and John Feaster of Buffalo, New York
Cherishing her precious memories are her sons, Bruce T. Bland of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Lionel Bland of Buffalo, New York; her brothers, Samuel Feaster, and David Lee Feaster, all of Buffalo, New York; her sister, Bernice Cornwell of Chester, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
