With deep sorrow and profound faith, we announce the passing of Catherine Gaston, formerly of Chester, South Carolina. Catherine, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and cherished member of her community, was called to her eternal home on January 1, 2025.

Catherine was the devoted daughter of the late Lillie Graham, whose nurturing spirit and unwavering faith guided her throughout her life. She was the beloved wife of the late Isaiah Gaston, with whom she shared a union grounded in love and mutual respect. Mother of George Curtis Woodard, Rosetta Gaston, Diane Gaston, Margaret Gaston and Kimberly Lewis. Catherine's life was further enriched by her siblings,  Bernice Heath, Chester, SC, Alberta Gray, Newark, NJ, Eunice Moore, Baltimore, MD, Jerilyn Johnson, Baltimore, MD, Shirley Smith, Palmer, PA,  Joe Coad, Baltimore, MD and Johnnie Coad, Rock Hill, SC; A host of other relatives and friends.

A woman of deep spiritual conviction, Catherine's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a beacon of light, whose kindness, wisdom, and compassion touched the lives of many. Her legacy is one of love, faith, and service to others, reflecting the teachings of Christ in every facet of her life.

The funeral service to honor and celebrate Catherine's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Church & Ministries in Baltimore, Maryland. She will be laid to rest at Parkwood Cemetery, where her spirit will find eternal peace.
